Community Development

Great Hope organization aims to improve our Maasai community and the lives of the community members. One of the ways we do this is through our community development projects. Currently Great Hope organization works in Monduli district Arusha region in Tanzania with intent to work in more places. Great Hope organization is currently active at  Losirwa village in Monduli district.

Community Change

Most of our community work is currently based on using our skills to change the community’s negative and false attitudes. Some of the common beliefs we fight are:

  • educating girls is not important
  • child marriage
  • girls are destined to be house wives or men’s property in marriage
  • child labor
  • domestic violence and forms of abuse that violate women and girls’ rights

3. Agricultural and Environmental skills
4. Formation of Women’s Empowerment Groups
